“I directed Kristine Caluya in a play. The play was a new work titled Gush by a New Zealand writer. It played at TAPAC, Motions Road over a period of four nights to good houses. Kristine was easy to work with and was always punctual and ready to rehearse. She was always organised and seemed to handle a very busy schedule with ease.” February 21, 2008.
Nicola Cresswell – Director and Owner of Lost Cause Productions (NZ).
“It is with great pleasure that I write a reference for Kristine Caluya. I had the opportunity to work with Kristine in 2007 on the short films, “The Agent” and “The Singing Surgeon”, both of which she was the Executive Producer and Producer. As an actor myself, I found Kristine a pleasure to work with. She has a true dedication to the projects she undertakes, which has resulted in great productions. Her creativity, initiative and unwavering hard work are to be admired and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to film industry professionals.” February 20th 2008.
Lisa Baldwin – Actress (NZ).
“I worked with Kristine Caluya on the short films, The Agent and The Singing Surgeon as the Makeup Artist & Hairstylist. I found this experience to be very professional and team orientated as this has helped me with my career. I found Kristine Caluya to be very productive with the team and focused on the film. I will definitely work with her again and wish her all the best. If you have any general esquires please feel free to contact me.” February 24, 2008.
Sharyn Makoni - En-Your-Face, Makeup Artist & Hairstylist (NZ).
"I know Kristine through a screenwriting group, and as an actress for Read Raw hosted by the Auckland Playwrights Collective and as a producer for the 48 hour film festival. Kristine has participated in Read Raw 2007 as an actor, on a new play in development called “Daddy’s Home” by Laurence Dolan. Kristine proved to be a valuable asset to the creative team, as she was able to provide helpful suggestions and new insight to the character and the play. Kristine was co-founder of the Mt Eden Screenwriters group and has demonstrated key organizational and coordinating skills. Kristine was the producers on the short film (48 hours 2007) “The Singing Surgeon” which placed 2nd Audience Favorite in its very competitive heat. Kristine was able to organize and coordinate a hospital ward, operating theater, and full surgical equipment for the shoot. After the band on stand-by canceled at 8pm due to a last minute booking, Kristine was able to source and confirm another composer/musician which saved the film as a “musical/dance” genre. I believe Kristine with her combination of acting experience and project management skills will be one of the young creative producers to watch into the future.” February 18th 2008.
M.E. Macdonald - Producer/Writer, Auckland Playwrights Collective (NZ).
“Over the last twelve months I have worked with Writer/Producer/Actor Kristine Caluya in both theater and film. Our first screen project together was the 2007 48Hour film challenge, which she approached me to direct. I was hugely impressed with her ability to draw together and enthuse a large and disparate group of people, and to organize and see through a project under great pressure.” February 2008.

“I had the pleasure of Kristine Caluya’s participation, as an actor, in the April 2007 Read Raw workshop and public reading of the Play “Daddy’s Home”, written by myself. Read Raw, an initiative of the Auckland Playwrights Collective, is a series of monthly workshops followed by public reading, with professional director and actors, of full length plays. Kristine was an integral part of the “Daddy’s Home” workshop and reading. The workshop and reading were directed by Tony Forster, with actors Geoffrey Dolan, Aaron Ward, Tracey McGuire, Rosella Hart and Kim Michalis, in addition to Kristine. Kristine gave her time, for a half day workshop on Sunday 15 April and evening public play reading on Monday 16 April. Kristine work shopped and read two parts in the play with professional aplomb. Her skill, commitment and enthusiasm were much appreciated and her creative input and feedback extremely valuable for my further development of the script. I would be happy to be contacted at any time to give further endorsement of Kristine’s passion and professionalism.” February 20, 2008.

"I worked on a modeling project with Kristine and she helped the photographer choreograph and direct us for the shoot and I was also lucky enough to get some acting lessons from her. Kristine is incredibly talented and due to her experiences as an actress, dancer and model herself, as well as from her organizational skills in production she is highly recommended to work with on any job she takes. Saying that she also knows her key focus which will always be her acting then dance. About to embark Los Angeles I do wish her well with this venture. She has the trust of many professionals here in Oz and do hope she comes back." January 25, 2009.
Shaun Townsend - Model (Australia).

"This is to confirm that Kristine was an actor on the Television Drama Series – “Shortland Street” in 2007. She played the role of Suchin Srisai in Block 742, and from block 750 to 752. The dates she worked were from 29/01 to 11/02/2007 and from 26/3 to 20/4/2007. Kristine played the role with passion and commitment. She was a disciplined actor with great time management skills and I would not hesitate to recommend her for any position in the Film Industry either as an actor or behind the scenes as an organizer. I wish her every success in her chosen field. Do not hesitate to contact me should you wish to verify any of the above details." December 2009.

"I hired Kristine as a makeup artist to fill in for my regular artist. I found her to be talented, professional and quick (which is critical to the very tight shooting schedule we were under). I was very pleased with the results and the fact that I only needed to give her a short brief when she arrived in studio. From this, Kristine delivered the results throughout the day and worked well with all our talent." December 12, 2009.
